OverviewSolarOr was founded in 2007 by a group of entrepreneurs and researchers to serve the solar energy industry with innovative, highly efficient yet low priced products. The company's mission is to drive the cost of solar generated power below that of grid-delivered power and accelerate the adoption of solar power use by mainstream residential and commercial consumers.
The company's core technical team is located in Israel and consists of senior scientists and engineers with expertise in optics and electro-optics and extensive, hands-on experience in solar energy. Sales, marketing and business development activities will initially be driven from the US, one of the company's key markets.
Sales and Marketing
SolarOr panels will initially be channeled to end users through system integrators focused on residential and commercials customers. Sales, marketing and business development efforts will initially focus on the US market, while also targeting Europe and Asia.
Management Team
President and inventor - Oren Aharon has a MSc in Industrial Management and cum laude BsC in Energy and Nuclear Engineering, former position as Technical assistant to the Israeli Minister of Energy and vast experience in optical and electro optical fields, with over 25 assigned patents. He has held entrepreneurial positions in several start up and senior scientist positions with focus in electro-optics.
